Dr. Islam Abbassi, DPM
Podiatrist, foot & ankle surgeon
Dr. Islam Abbassi is a foot and ankle specialist with a lifelong passion for sports. His own experience with sports injuries, from basketball and football leagues to earning a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, drives his commitment to helping others move without pain.
He treats patients of all ages in elective foot and ankle surgery, wound care, lower extremity dermatology, biomechanics, and sports medicine.
Dr. Abbassi earned his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a three-year surgical residency at the Veterans Affairs hospital in East Orange, where he was Chief Resident. His training included rotations at Community Medical Center and Saint Peter's University Hospital.
When he's not in the clinic, he stays active in recreational sports and enjoys time with his family.
